Helen Cast Harmon

HARMON, Helen Cast, 87, died peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2010, with her family at her side. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Scott Harmon. She is survived by her husband, John J. "Jack" Harmon; her sons, Greg Harmon and his wife, Lisa; and grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew and Taylor, Steve Harmon and his wife, Nanci; and granddaughter, Tracey. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. When her boys were in school, she volunteered in the cafeteria at St. Bridget's Elementary School and Benedictine High School. She also volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 9505 Gayton Road, Richmond, Va. 23229. Her remains will be interred in the adjacent Consolation Garden. The family will receive friends in the church commons immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the St. Mary's Building Fund.
