Horace Robinson FISHER Jr.

FISHER, Deacon Horace Robinson Jr., departed this life October 24, 2009 at Sitter and Barfoot Veterans Care Center. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Gertrude A. Fisher. He was a lifelong member of St. John Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was a retired mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Charity Lodge # 25 Prince Hall F&A Masons. He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted son, Horace R. Fisher III (Brenda); two loving grandchildren, Robin A. Fisher and Horace R. Fisher IV; brother, Everett L. Fisher (Johnnie) of Franklin, Tennessee; nine nieces and nephews, other family and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 30, at 1 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church, 4317 North Avenue. Rev. Dr. Michael Felton officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
