Ida Horne

HORNE, Ida Mae, 77, of Mechanicsville, went to be with "Pop Pop," on Sunday, September 19, 2010. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Horne (Lisa); daughters, Debbie Atkins (Gerald), Elizabeth Covington (Larry); grandchildren, Lindsey Irwin (Mark), Courtney Covington, Gerald Atkins (Susie), Christina Smith (Dave), Kieran Horne and Brianna Horne; four great-grandchildren, Stella Atkins, Nolan Atkins, Auggie Smith and Atto Smith; brother, Tommy Smith; sister, Betty Smith Ransone (Charlie); and sister-in-law, Christine Smith. She was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Smith. Our Nannie's love stretched over many cities, states and countries. She is loved by so many more family and friends. She is so very special and will continue to occupy our hearts and memories. The family will receive friends at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Fairfield Presbyterian Church with interment at Forest Lawn. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Fairfield Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
