JOHNSON, Isaiah "Roe" Sr., 66, of Charles City, Va., departed this life on November 19, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ella and Berry Johnson; two brothers, Alexander and Berry Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife, Charlotte G. Johnson; daughter, Marcia Walker (Julius); two sons, Isaiah Jr. (Tamisha) and Bernard (Lisa) Johnson; six grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy Crewe (Emerson); seven sisters-in-law and nine brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at March Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., where viewing will be held on Monday, November 23, from 12 noon to 8 p.m. and where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral service 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Gilfield Baptist Church, 6640 Church Lane, Charles City, Va. Rev. James Johnson, officiating. Interment Gilfield Baptist Church Cemetery.

Charlotte, Marcia, Bubba and Bernard:

Word can not express how sorry I am to hear about Roe. He was more than a brother-in-law to me. I hope you know that I will alway be there for you all. Know that joy will come in the morning and that Roe is not gone, he is just away and he is watching over all of you. May God wrap his loving arms around and give you the strengh you need to go on.
