The Lawson Family

Mr. Hicks, Laura and Howie:
We just learned of the death of Jackie and wanted to extend our deepest heartfelt sympathy. We recall the days back in Central Terrace as neighbors and the fun we had. The Hicks family was a close knit family and we were glad to be included as your friends. May God comfort you in the days to come. We know you have many fond memories. May they forever bring you joy in times of loneliness.

We were saddened to hear the news about Jackie. She was truly a gift to me as a new Postmaster, when she came back to Virginia and came to work at the Charles City Post Office. I really valued her experience and advice. She (and Dan) became a very close friend. The example she set when her mother could no longer care for herself was remembered often when I encountered the same situation with my mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. Health problems kept me from visitation.

Laura, we extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
Who can find such a virtuous woman, more precious than jewels, like your Mom? Your Mother yet displays her beauty in each of you. We are praying for you and your family today, and will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Lord Jesus, we thank you now, for embracing and strengthening the Hicks family today. And, thank you Lord Jesus for covering this family with your wondrous peace.
