REDD, James A., age 77, of Amelia, passed from this life on January 13, 2010. Preceded in death by his wife, Lois, he is survived by his son, James Hollingsworth "Worth" Redd of Amelia; daughters, Teresa Buchanan of Amelia and Donna Hutchison of Chesterfield; brothers, Avery Lee Redd of Nelson and Samuel Woodrow Redd of North Carolina; sister, Ann Irby of Halifax; nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. The youngest, Ava Kaye Hutchison, was born January 2, 2010. Visitation will be at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court Street in Amelia, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 15. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m., with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made in James' memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
