James Butts Obituary

BUTTS, James D., 89, formerly of Richmond, died Thursday, September 9, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mildred E. "Millie" Butts; and is survived by his daughter, Janice E. Pritchard and her husband, Robert T.; his son, Brian K. Butts; a sister, Cora Belle Eidson; a brother, Ted Butts; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Butts was a World War II veteran with the U.S. Army Air Corps and flew in the Normandy Invasion. He was retired from IBM after many years of service as a customer engineer. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Monday in the Chapel at Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia. Bliley's-Staples Mill is assisting the family with the services.
