COX, James Robert "Bob," 67, of Mechanicsville, Va., left us on December 21, 2010 from the combined effects of a vehicle wreck and cancer. He was born June 16, 1943 in Baltimore, from parents Thomas and Ruth Cox. He graduated from Richmond City Schools and retired from Virginia Department of Highways. He was a member of the Antique Auto Club of America and several other machinery clubs. He is survived by his brother, Thomas A. Cox and his wife, Madelyn, of Richmond; sister, Janet Blevins of Elizabethton, Tenn.; longtime acquaintance, Ruth Crigger of Mechanicsville. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt.10). The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Sumerset Steam and Gas Engine Association, Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 492, Sumerset, Va. 22972.
