James GOODWIN Obituary

GOODWIN, James L. Jr., of Ashland, Va., departed this life October 29, 2009. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susie R. Goodwin; and his parents, James L. and Leona M. Goodwin. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Joanne Groffel (Robert) and Jean Williams (Belton); one son, James L. Goodwin III; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Henry W. Dabney Funeral Home, 518 N. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va. 23005, where public viewing will be held Saturday, October 31, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2009, 2 p.m. at St. Stephens Baptist Church, 29346 Sparta Rd., Milford, Va. 22514. Interment church cemetery.
