Joseph W. Davidson

DAVIDSON, Joseph W., 94, husband of Mary Townsend Davidson, went to be with the Lord April 22, 2010. He is survived by his daughter, Anne Davidson Bagby and her husband, Dick, of Midlothian, Va.; his daughter, Elizabeth Davidson Skillman and her husband, Bud, of Harrisonburg, Va.; and his son, Hugh E. Davidson and his wife, Susan, of Midlothian, Va. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Sarah R. Davidson. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Force. He worked as a design engineer for AMF for many years and retired from Cardwell Machine Company. He served as a faithful member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church for over 50 years. The family will receive visitors 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 25, at Bliley's - Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 26, at Woodland Heights Baptist Church, 611 W. 31st Street. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Virginia, 7231 Forest Avenue, Suite 100, Richmond, Va. 23226.
