Randy and Family,

I was so sorry to hear about Joyce. I worked with her at Bank of Essex. She always remembered everyone's birthday with a card. She was always very thoughtful and caring. I will miss her very much. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of sadness. She treasured her grandchildren.

Randy,
You are so fortunate to have had Joyce as your mother. She was loving, sensitive, and patient...all of which helped her to be a wonderful baby sitter to many little children. I always knew that my daughters were safe and happy with her, which made going to work a great deal easier. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Randy,

Your mother was very special to a lot of people but most of all she was your mother. I know the loss you are feeling. She lives through the lives of the people she touched and in the family you have given her. God bless you and yours during this time. Trust that He will be there for you and Joyce, now and forever. Randy,
I was so saddened to hear of Joyce's passing. What a loss to you and your family, but what an angel God now has in his Heaven.... I think of the years that Louis and I entrusted her with the care of "Scooter," and she was such a blessing to all of us. I firmly believe that it is partially because of the wonderful care and "education" he received while in her care that he has become the wonderful young man that he is today. I will never forget her kind ways and her wonderful smile. May God help you get through this sad time....and remember that we are there for you. Debbie (Slade) Allison and Scott "Scooter" Slade

Randy, your mother was such an inspiration to us all. She had such courage and showed us not to worry about small things. I remember when she was first diagnosed and she told me then that though she knew the disease was not curable that she was going to live as long as God allowed and that she wasn't going to worry about it. I shall never forget those words. Joyce certainly knew the Lord and taught us to put everything in His hands. We will miss her smile and her quiet, kind and loving ways. I only had the honor of knowing Joyce for the past few years, but she had a place in my heart right from the start. I would have never guessed she was fighting her own illness, if someone hadn’t told me back then. She never complained or looked for sympathy from others. Instead I would hear her ask everyone else how they were and listen to their problems, as if she had no worries of her own. I hope we all learned a little bit about being more caring, compassionate people from her…I know I did. We will all miss her bright, loving smile and her positive attitude. Essex Bank was truly blessed to have such an angel among us!!

Randy and Family,
We send our love and deepest sympathy your way. You and your family are in our prayers and thoughts. Your Mom was a special person and we will always cherish the memories we have of her as our neighbor. Much love...Darren, Page, Emily and Claire Wilmore

Colleen Custalow & Angela Custalow Pisano,
I was so sorry to hear of Joyce's passing because I know what a special person she was to both of you. Having only met her briefly, I did not know her but I do know that she was a very generous, giving individual from your kind words about her when we talked. I hope the wonderful memories that you have of Joyce will sustain you both in this heartbreaking time. My thoughts are with the Custalow family.

Randy and Family,

It was my priviledge to have Joyce as my assistant over the past few years. Joyce was a model employee. She always had a positive and helpful attitude, a smile on her face, and a caring spirit of how can I help others. She faced her illness with that same positive outlook and that continued smile, always concerned about how others were doing rather than herself. Her spirit was an inspiration to all of us and we at Essex Bank were proud to have her as a member of our family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.

Regards,

George and Sandy
