MARTIN, Joyce Valenti, 77, of Richmond, died May 3, 2010, after a courageous battle with kidney disease, surrounded by her family and friends. She was the widow of Raymond E. Martin and is survived by her daughter, Karen M. White and her husband, James Sr.; grandchildren, James Jr. and his wife, Leigh, Shawn and Haley. A private family visitation will be held on Wednesday. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Avenue, followed by interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
