Judith JONES Obituary

Published by Bliley's Funeral Home Central Chapel on Jan. 6, 2010.
JONES, Judith Anne, of Mechanicsville, departed this life at age 66, in the early morning of January 4, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Roy Donald Jones; and her twin children, Dawn Michelle Jones and David Michael Jones, both of Richmond. Judy was born in Baltimore, the only child of Mr. Otto and Mrs. Jessie Dare Reynolds. After graduating from Williamston High School, she moved to Richmond to work in advertising at Richmond Newspapers, where she met the man who would be her devoted and loving husband for 44 years; they married at First Baptist Church in May 1965. They enjoyed many happy travels together in their early marriage, visiting Hawaii, Mexico and even far-off Tahiti. Judy was later employed at Hunton & Williams, but when she became a mother she devoted her life to raising her beloved children. Her funeral service will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, January 7, at Bliley's - Central, 3801 Augusta Ave., where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. For memorial contributions, the family suggests The Mental Health Association of Virginia, www.mhav.org.
