COX, Katherine D., 94, of Arvonia, Va., died Monday, October 11, 2010, in Charlottesville, Va. She was born April 10, 1916, to the late Leake F. and Sallie Hudgins Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Frank Cox. Mrs. Cox was a WWII Army Nurse and was formerly stationed at McGuire VA Hospital. She was also a former alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention from Tennessee. A graveside funeral service will be conducted Friday, 2 p.m., at the Buckingham Baptist Church, New Canton, Va. Colbert Funeral Home, Bremo Bluff, is in charge of arrangements.
