Lena Margorie Gregg

GREGG, Lena Margorie. After a long illness Lena Margorie Gregg departed this life Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in Lynchburg, Va. Lena was born in Charles City on April 8, 1933 to the late Oakley and Lena Miles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Gregg, and her sister, Carolyn Miles. While living in Lynchburg, Lena attended Bolling Hill Baptist Church, under the pastorship of Rev. Edward D. Jones Sr. Lena leaves to mourn her death Herman (Sarah, Herman Jr. and Oakley) Miles and Harold (Margie) Miles of Lynchburg, Va., Leslie (Hope) Miles of Charles City, Va.; a devoted brother-in-law, Ret. Lt. General Arthur Gregg; devoted caretakers, Kim Snead and Tyria Tweedy; a devoted cousin, Edna Black; and a host of family and friends. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2010 at New Vine Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Edward Jones Sr. officiating and Rev. Dr. Burrell Smith Jr. as eulogist.
