Lillian was a special part of our growing up together in Bartley, WV. Not many people can claim to have been in school together from first grade until they graduate from high school.....I believe those years hold a special memory for all of us from Bartley...and I am glad that Lillian will always be a part of my special memories. Love to all of her family. Jan Lynn Brown Jones

Elizabeth,
I am so sorry about your mom. She was a great lady. I remember sitting in the back room watching Reading Rainbow that she had on VHS while they played cards. I remember she really did love reading and I think she sparked my interest in reading as well. I love reading now. Contact me please. I would love to see you guys again and you have to meet the new pride and joy of our family,Lizzie.

Lillian was one of my favorite people in the entire world. She had a wonderful sense of humor and marvelous, loving way with people. She stole my heart many times over and was like a mother figure to me. Lillian gave unselfishly of her time and talents to me as librarian and to the students at Greenwood Elementary as a library volunteer. I will always be grateful for all of her help in opening the Greenwood Elementary library. Lillian had such fun with our Bear Tea Parties, and enjoyed seeing the children dressed in their Sunday finery. I was blessed to observe the the excitement in Lillian's eyes as she got a big hug from Snow Bear at the 2007 Bear Tea Party. She enjoyed the party as much as the kids in attendance. I shall miss the lunches we shared together. Lillian's love and devotion to her family will serve a comfort to you all in the days to come. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to you all. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Lillian was a wonderful friend to me, and I shall miss her.
