Louise Eubank Obituary

EUBANK, Louise Ozment, 93, a beloved mother and the widow of Thomas Harwood Eubank, took her Heavenly homegoing and joined the waiting loved ones on Friday, November 5, 2010 at the Tidelands Community Hospice House. Mrs. Eubank was the daughter of Joseph Eugene Ozment and Annie Overton Matlow Ozment, born on April 24, 1917, in Richmond, Va. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Richmond, Va., and completed numerous educational programs supporting her job with the State of Virginia. In 1980, she retired as administrative secretary from the Department of Welfare and Statistics of the State of Virginia. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Richmond for many years and in 1985, she relocated to Surfside Beach, S.C., joining membership with the Garden City Baptist Church. Louise and Tommy were married on August 31, 1940, and celebrated 34 years together. From their blessed union survive two sons, Thomas "Tom" H. (Dixie) Eubank Jr. and Robert Eugene Eubank; two grandchildren, Thomas "T" H. (Martha) Eubank III and Brooke Elizabeth (Dan) Anderson; and five great-grandchildren, Thomas, Louise, Mitchell Grace, William, and Hill. "A Tribute to Our Mom" will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at the St. Giles First Presbyterian Church. The Eubank family will receive family and friends immediately after the service. The Dr. Louis "Skid" Skidmore will officiate. Mrs. Eubank will be layed to rest beside her husband and with her parents in the Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond, Va., after the service. McKenzie Funeral Home is honored to serve the Eubank family.
