Margaret Baldock

BALDOCK, Margaret Monroe, 84, of Lynchburg, died Thursday, December 23, 2010 in Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John Wesley Baldock. She was born in Rustburg on October 14, 1926. She was a daughter of the late Bunyan Monroe and Lois Pearl Finch Monroe. She was a retired secretary from Chesterfield County after 17 years of service and was a member of Indian Hill United Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara B. Alston and her husband, Robert and Margaret B. Armistead and her husband, Calvin, all of Chesterfield and Julia B. Timberlake and her husband, Parker, of Powatan; one sister, Virginia Belmont of Daytona Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Warren "Sonny" Monroe and Marvin "Pete" Monroe, both of Rustburg; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and many dear friends and extended family. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Indian Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Litton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Indian Hill United Methodist Church or the Concord Rescue Squad.
