Mama, There won`t be a day that goes by that I don`t think of you and wish that you were here with us but I know you are reunited with Daddy and I know how much you missed him. May God hold you in his loving arms. Our family will all be together again one day. We love you always, Margie and Calvin

There was no better grandmother than you...I can not remember one time you getting angry or upset with any of us or anyone for that matter or speaking ill of anyone or complaining at all! What a phenomenal woman! You will be missed greatly! I wish I was able to learn more about your earlier life while you were still here with us on this earth! I, like Ashley, remember the visits in the summer time and you picking vegetables from the garden and me asking you tons of questions; you never minded of course, and grandaddy always taking me to the village store as you made dinner or worked in the house..you were such a hard worker, never stopped. Even in the hospital, you tried to do everything yourself! I hope I was able to help you some...You; always not wanting to bother others! You were so caring and considerate; never thinking of yourself! Now is the time that you can finally do that..I hope you have full reign in heaven above! We miss you already and are thinking of you! Love you so much...God bless and we will see you one day not too far from now...Rest in peace Grandma and know that you left an awesome, very memorable and outstanding presence on this earth. We strive to be like you...perfect role model..not many people like that left in this worldly world!! I hope my daughter is half of who you were..My only regret is not spending more time with you in Lynchburg and letting Aiyana getting to know you better...I tried my best..but you know we always loved you and were thinking of you...Thank you Grandma...Much love, The Alston-Atiyat family! :)
