Marian Peterson

PETERSON, Marian E., 81, of Richmond, Va., went Home to be with the Lord on November 14, 2009. She was born to Florence and Matthew Peterson in Richmond, Va. on December 4, 1927. She joined Second Baptist Church under Reverend Hill when she was a teenager. Marian graduated from Armstrong High School in 1945. She was employed by William Byrd Hotel until its closing. She later was employed by Best Western until retiring. She is survived by a devoted sister, Marie Britt; devoted brother-in-law, Henry E. Britt Jr.; a niece, Donna M. Blackwell; a great-niece, Crucita M. Berrios; and a host of cousins and relatives. Remains rest at the F.E. Dabney Funeral Home, 600 B Street, Ashland, Va. No public viewing. Memorial/ graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 20 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Glen Allen, Va. Pastor Diane Mosby officiating.
