Marion Burks Jiggetts

JIGGETTS, Mrs. Marion Burks, 89, of Broadnax, Va., widow of Willie Jiggetts, died Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill. Daughter of the late Charles Williams and Leda Taylor Burks, Mrs. Jiggetts was a retired Coordinator for the Mecklenburg County Council for Aging. A Memorial Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Friday at Catholic Church of The Good Shepherd in South Hill with Father Silvio Kaberia officiating. Mrs. Jiggetts is survived by her daughter, Marlene Jackson and her husband, Leland, of Broadnax; sister, Lorene Hayes and her husband, Beecher, of Montclair, N.J.; stepbrother, Samuel Bennett of South Hill; grandchildren, Adrian Jackson and Cottrel Jackson; and great-granddaughter, Laila Jackson, all of South Hill. Nieces, Loriane Hardy of Lawrenceville and Leda Daniels of Ohio, and devoted friend, Mary Jane Javier of South Hill also survive.
