The Hamilton Family,
Some of you I have met and some of you I know from the stories that Martha would tell me. She loved her family very much and was very proud of each of you. May your memories fill your hearts with happiness. My prayers are with you all. Love Judy & Laurie

Mrs. Hamilton,
As my piano teacher you challenged me to work hard at playing the piano. You helped me recognize my talent & applauded me every week for my commitment to it. Without me even realizing it, you made a huge difference in my life - inspiring me to embrace my creativity and my musical gifts, which has me stronger as a young woman today. Thank you; you will be missed.

Dear Hamilton Family: Our prayers are with you during this sad time. We loved Martha so much. She taught our oldest son piano for a number of years and also taught me as an adult. Martha was also our sons' Sunday School teacher. I taught 4th grade Sunday School and she taught 5th grade Sunday School. So we saw each other every week for many, many years. She was always so sweet and kind and fun-loving too. Children loved her. I will cherish my sweet remembrances of her.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Hamilton family from the Albertson and Reynolds families. I worked with Martha at Investors Savings Bank for many years and then she taught both of my daughters to play piano. My oldest daughter began taking piano lessons with Martha when she was in the second grade. She is now a freshman in college and is majoring in music education and music performance with the piano all because of Martha! My youngest daughter plays the tenor saxaphone now but her love of music started with Martha when she took piano lessons from her as well. We will always remember her gentleness, kindness, love and support, her cats and our piano recitals!

Martha was a long time friend of our family. I worked with her at Investors at the Bon Air branch for numerous years and she taught both of my daughters piano lessons. My oldest daughter is in college now at Virginia Tech majoring in Music Education and Music Performance with piano due to Martha's teaching. My youngest daughter plays the tenor saxaphone for James River High School. Martha definately taught them to love music and we loved her! Our sympathies to the family.

Martha taught my daughter piano lessons for several years and I actually knew her before then when she worked at Investors. She was a cheerful, patient and kind lady who was sincerely devoted to her students, friends and her cats. We have fond memories and are thinking of you as you honor her life. God bless your family.
