Mary Hardiman

HARDIMAN, Mrs. Mary (Maebelle) Blackwell, 94, of Dillwyn, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010. She was the widow of Hampton Newbill Hardiman. She was born on July 8, 1915 in Buckingham County, to the late Joseph and Mattie Rogers Blackwell. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald H. Hardiman. She is survived by her children, Nancy H. Owen and Roger L. Hardiman, both of Dillwyn, also six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Dunkum Funeral Home, with interment in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heritage Hall Resident Outing Fund, P.O. Box 580, Dillwyn, Va. 23936. Dunkum Funeral Home, of Dillwyn, is in charge of arrangements.
