HOBBIE, Mary, 91, went home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2013. Her life was rich with family, friends, music and church. She was married to Lawrence D. Hobbie for 54 years before his passing in 1999. Together they had three children, Larry Hobbie (Valerie), Dan Hobbie (Muriel), and Margie Rigsbee (Ruddy); seven grandchildren, Joel Hobbie, Ben Hobbie (Amy), Elizabeth "Libby" Hobbie, Jon Hobbie (Nikki), Jessica Sanders (Ollie), Shelly Merry (David), and Sarah Rigsbee; seven great-grandchildren, Levi, Makennia, Micah, Malcolm, Maysun, Miles, and Alisa. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., February 17, at River Road Presbyterian Church (RRPC), 8960 River Road, Richmond, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to RRPC.
