Mary Perkins

PERKINS, Miss Mary Lee, 97, of Blackstone, Va., died Monday, April 12, 2010. She was the daughter of Leslie L. Perkins and Maggie Boisseau Perkins Allen. Mary Lee was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Allen; and brother, Walter Bernard Allen Jr. She is survived by two nieces and a nephew. Mary Lee was a graduate of Blackstone High School and the Norfolk Business College and was a retired legal secretary for Gravatt Law Firm of Blackstone. She was a lifelong member and Sunday school teacher of Crenshaw United Methodist Church. Visitation and viewing will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd. (Bus. Hwy. 460), near Blackstone. A graveside funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackstone. Memorial donations may be made to Crenshaw United Methodist Church, 200 Church St., Blackstone, Va. 23824.
