Merle GUNNET

GUNNET, Merle, age 79, went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2009. He was born in York, Pennsylvania in 1929, graduated from Penn State, with a B.S. in chemistry, and retired from IBM. He also served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Eugene Gunnet and Lottie Viola Leppo; and his wife, Arlene Victoria Gunnet. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Randy Frost of Chesterfield; his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Beverly Markel, of Maryland; and his sister, Lorraine Kessler, of Florida; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Mount Rose Cemetery in York, Pa. on November 9, 2009 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Bon Secours Hospice at 5875 Bremo Road, Suite 710, Richmond, Va. 23226.
