Michael James SAUNDERS

SAUNDERS, Michael James, 48, of Chesterfield, departed this life peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2009, after a long and valiant battle with the disease, Scleraderma. He was preceded in death by his father, Mack J. Saunders. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Patsy; devoted mother, Jewell Saunders; brother, Bill Mickelboro and his wife, Camille; sister, Caroline Kimpfler and her husband, Eric; mother-in-law, Mary Goad; brother-in-law, Travis Goad and his wife, Terri; uncle, William H. Dillon; nieces and nephews, Matthew, Meghann, Zachary, Caycee, Travis-Michael and Lindsey; and many dear and devoted friends. Michael was a master electrician with IBEW Local 666, and more recently was owner and president of Remembrances Video Productions. He had an expanded knowledge, skill and interest of many topics. He also actively sought to broaden his horizons whether it was in travel or the challenge of new technologies. His heart was always touched by a furry feline in need of a good home. His love and devotion to his kitties, Lily, Addie and Cleo knew no bounds. The family would like to thank the wonderful medical team at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. A special thanks to Dr. Oksana Shlobin for her special care and compassion during Michael's final days. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rte. 10). A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park.
