ASKEW, Mildred M. "Boots," 73, of Highland Springs, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Ray Askew; eight children, Robert Clark Jr., Ellen Clark, James, Lynn and Scott Petty, Rodney Clark, Helen Powers and Nellie Castellaw; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Daily. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 27 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Nelsen Funeral Home - Reid Chapel, 412 South Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va., where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 28 with burial in Independence Christian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Va.
