To the Family,

I always remember Monice in school being positive and making people laugh. I remember her at the alter in church when I would go to Union Baptist getting her praise on. Now she is somewhere around God's alter. She will be missed.

To the family of Monice,

God has truly taken an angel home to help look out for those that she left here on Earth!! Monice and I went to school together and she was always putting others first, making sure they were okay and had what they needed!! She always had a smile on her face and a kind word when she saw you, no matter how much time had passed since she had seen you last. She will be missed, but I praise God that she will not suffer any longer. Hold those precious memories close until you meet again.

My prayers are will you,

Niecey work with me at my company "Guaranteed Cleaning" back in the late years of the 1990s. She was a joy to have around. She was a pleasant employee, a hard worker, and a good friend. We had many good laughs. She was a beloved friend. I even named one of my many geese after her(with her blessings). We lost touch after Shayla was born, but not before I had the opportunity to hold Shayla. Shayla is her Mother's joy. God bless each of you who love Monice.

To Monice:

I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to have known you. I first meet you 12 years ago, but we’re gotten so close when you lived just across the hall from me. You was like a big sister to me…Always making sure I was OK and letting me know you’re there if I needed you. We shared plenty of summer evenings just hanging out on the steps, watching the kids play and eating snacks..*smile* I’ll always love you Monice.

To Sherry and Family:

Our prayers are with you....

My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart,
and my portion for ever. (Psalm 73:26)

My best friend of 30 years. I was with mo, whom i affectionately addressed, when she was diagnosed with this horrific disease, she was courageous and brave the entire time.. even when we went to treatments.. she was still the belle of the ball! Two weeks ago mo called me over to sit her, as time passed we ended up in the bed talking and laughing until 3am! In time i could not hold back my tears, as i begin to sob, mo reached over and started to caress my shoulders and kiss me. You see that was the type of person Mo was, always comforting others.I will truly miss my dear best friend, confidante and sister. Until we are joined together again!

Cousin Monice...I know that you are in a better place...You're home in Paradise, enjoy yourself! Save a spot for me!!! I remember the times we had together....Summers with Cousin Monice and Wanda...were the best...Brandy and I would play all day ...and you taught me how to count out pennies, nickles, dimes, and some quarters...in order to buy some goodies at the conner store...with Wanda! You know we couldnt go anywhere until after Aunt Estelle finished watching her soaps (All My Children and some others)! I use to always complain about sitting down and not talking while to soaps were on...but Cousin Monice I NEVER heard you complain about anything! ~Kristan~

November 15, 2009

We know that it was hard to see Monice leave us but we must remain strong and remember her smile and the way she was always ready to lend a helping hand to others. Monice fought a good fight and she kept the faith, we will always remember the times she was in charge of devotions during youth Sunday and offered up a stong prayer , I would always tell her that I loved to hear her pray, she would smile and say thank-you. I am praying that you be comforted more each day by cherishing your memories of the good times you shared with her.
