Nancy Barr

BARR, Nancy, of Rockville, Va., died October 14, 2010. She was 80 years old. Nancy was a registered OB-GYN nurse, a dedicated military wife and mother, an award winning cook, published photographer, and had a skill for numbers that aided her service to, and support of, various civic, wellness and social organizations. She was a member of the Goochland Baptist Church. She is survived by Bill, her husband for 60 years; four children, Dan Barr and wife, Susan, of Fairfield Va., Sharon Spalding and husband, Phil, of Stuarts Draft, Va., Sandra Barr of Ashland, Va. and Doug Barr and wife, Mikki, of Friendsville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Jason Spalding and wife, Lindsey, of Ft. Campbell, Ky. and Brandon Spalding of Bethany, W.Va.; and a sister, Maxine Bosserman of Staunton, Va. The family will receive friends at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010 where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2010, officiated by the Reverend Dr. Dean Frazeur. Interment will follow at Westhampton Memorial Park.
