Patrick Alan Massey

MASSEY, Patrick Alan, entered into eternal rest on September 21, 2010, at his residence. Patrick was born on May 7, 1957, in Paris, France. He retired after 30 years at Philip Morris and settled in Chesterfield, Va. He was an avid gardener and antique collector. He had a lifelong fascination with Native American life and artifacts which resulted in an extensive collection of lithics and pottery. He had a deep respect for nature and enjoyed many long road trips across both America and Europe. He had recently developed an interest in cooking and enjoyed sharing meals with friends. He is survived by his closest friend - his mother, Simka S. Massey of Colonial Heights; his father, Charles R. Massey of Colonial Heights; two sisters, Michele Clarke (Stephen) of Dinwiddie, Va. and Karen Massey (Phil) of Burke, Va.; three nephews, Kyle and Benjamin Daughety, and Jack Forjan; a niece, Valerie Forjan; several aunts, uncles, and cousins in both Canada and the Netherlands, and his faithful dog, Jake, who adopted him many years ago. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to your local animal shelter or SPCA.
