Richard Lee Grammer

GRAMMER, Richard Lee, 68, of Chester, Virginia, died Saturday, November, 14, 2009. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and was a commercial insulator. Mr. Grammer served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Worley Lee and Margaret V. Denson. He is survived by a sister, Margaret Elaine Dabney of Chester; two nieces, Debra Paige H. Shutlock and husband, John, of Spotsylvania, Va., and Tamara Collett H. Bunch and husband, Rick, of Elgin, S.C.; great-nephew, Jeremy Thruston of Spotsylvania; and several great-great-nieces and a nephew. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dr. Ivan Perkinson officiating.
