Robert CARROLL Obituary

Published by Bliley's Funeral Home Central Chapel from Nov. 10 to Nov. 11, 2009.

CARROLL, Robert A. "Bob" Sr., passed away peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2009. He was preceded in death by his brother, William P. "Bill" Carroll Jr. He is survived by his wife, Gloria S. Carroll; his son, Robert "Anthony" Carroll Jr. and his wife, Angel; his grandson, Aidan Patrick Carroll; his brother, Milton B. Carroll; and his sister, Joyce C. Robinson. Bob retired from A.H. Robins Pharmaceutical Company after 38 years. The family will receive friends Wednesday at Bliley's - Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service to follow at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park. The family requests donations to the above church.

Gloria, Anthony, and Family,

The devastastion which you are feeling was obvious today at Bob's funeral. I can only hope that sometime in the not-too-distant future
your grief will slowly turn to the happy memories which you have of him.

I am sorry to hear this news... Robert was a childhood friend and we shared many of those "growing up" experiences together while classmates at St. Bridget's School. I can still see his smile in my memories of that period (1957 was our graduation year from grade school).
