It was our pleasure to share in the homegoing service for Trent. He was special to us. To see all ot his WSSU classmates and friends come to pay tribute to a fallen Ram was heartwarming.

It looks like Trent got his Christmas present early. He went home to be with God, no more misery, no more pain. He joins a host of Rams including my dad - Joe Daniels (Mr. D), my uncle - Dr. William Rice, Nikki Fetterson (his roommate and line brother) and Richard "Reb" Baxter *his line brother).

God continues to hold us in the palm of His hand. Our Christmas present is yet to come. Rest in peace, Trent.

I am very grateful to have known Trent Curry. We grew up together in Kannapolis as he would visit the cousins we have in common, Jeff and Deborah Long, went to Camp Dorothy Walls in the summer time and then we went off to college at Winston-Salem State together and enjoyed some wonderful times together. We also continued to share our lives following college. Trent was a very special person, and yes he had that unique smile that was essential to his pleasing personality. My sincere thoughts of sympathy go out to his, wife, parents, sisters, brothers, children, and grandchildren. We truly have to trust in God and rely on our faith when we are faced with such challenging periods in our lives. Though we may not understand "why" if we trust in God we can be confident that his way is the right way. Trent has made it in. He has finished his course. God Bless each of you as you carry on your lives and cherish the wonderful memories of Robert Trent Curry each and every day.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Curry Family. Trent is part of the Wella Family as well. I've enjoyed working with him for several years and also bowling. To Shelby, his kids, Mrs Cilla and all of his family and relatives, keep your head up and be strong even though the emotions are very high at this time. Remember that the Lord makes no mistakes and that Trent is still being loved and cared for.

To Shelby, Dot and cousins,
I was shocked to learn that Trent passed. I will remember him as one of the cousins who would kept us laughing as we shared many jokes and expressions. My siblings and I loved Trent. We had so much fun growing up and being entertained in my Mothers basement in Kannapolis, N.C. We couldn't really hang out so most of us cousins got together at each others home and just had fun. I am comforted in knowing that he knew God!
He will be missed.

I spent the Thanksgiving Holiday praying for Trent's recovery at the hospital. Then when I got the call that he had gone home, I stayed in bed until Tuesday of this week. Thinking back, crying, smiling & smiling & smiling...

We "really grew up together." Marable Memorial, Carver School, Little Texas, A.L. Brown, The Hut, Little Texas, Mr. Harvey Nelson's Place, etc. & I still remembered that his birthday was in May(pause)

Truly, I knew him all of my life. In the "Little Texas Community", the fellows called ourselves Texas Rangers. This meant we ran together, looked out for each other & watched each others back. Little Texas is "sad" today....

But you know, out of all of the sadness, I still see his smile. That very special smile!!! When you think of Trent in the years gone by, now & in the future, you see the smile.(smile)

Shelby, Ms.Dot, Joan, Robin, Tim, Gigi, Allen & all, I cry & pray for you all. I thank God that he is my friend. Farewell my friend, Farewell Texas Ranger.....
