It's a plenty! It's a plenty! She always had plenty of love, strength, and support for everyone. She worked hard everyday to support seven children by herself. She never had a day off and she never complained. She was full of life and love, and she touched everyone who was lucky enough to meet her. I want to thank my sisters-in-law for all the love and support they gave Mama over the years. To my brothers and sisters, Mama lives on in us, in our children, and in our grandchildren in the good we do every day.

Love,

Lyla Oley Wilby

To the entire Oley family: For many, many years my father (Gus) and my uncle (Steve) operated the Rainbow Inn directly across the street from the Ritz and they spoke highly of both Mr. and Mrs. Oley, as well as their children. They recall Mrs. Oley coming to work (Ritz) very early in the morning, scrubbing the floor and preparing breakfast for her family and then prepared for the customers that followed after opening. It is my belief that both Mr. & Mrs. Oley can rest peacefully with God, knowing that all of their children and their families have made and continue to make positive contributions to the entire metro area. My deepest sympathy to the Oley family. Tom Stavredes

Mrs.Oley,
The first time I met you & your family was in your home. I was welcomed then with open arms & have continued to feel like a part of your family since. You have been a great inspiration to all those who have had the good fortune to meet you. I have been honored to have witnessed your undying work ethic & compassion towards people that you have passed along to your devoted family. Your smile, your wisdom, your obvious love of life, and your dedication to your family & those around you will live on in the hearts of all who were so blessed to have known you. I, & my husband, consider ourselves, among the many, lucky enough to have shared good food & great conversation with such a memorable lady. I know heaven will welcome you with open arms as you have done for so many here on earth. Rest peacefully with a smile. You will remain forever in our hearts.

To the Oley Family ~
What a wonderful lady Mrs. Oley was!! She always remembered you even if she hadn't seen you in a long time and seeing me out away from Westbury...calling me by my first name even! Until she retired from there, she was the main person you would see, always friendly and nice. She loved her family and I know your wonderful memories of her will now enfold and comfort each of you in God's eternal love.
Sincerely,

October 27, 2009

Carol, Faiz, Jr., Helene and Joe,

I remember your Grandmother at the Westbbury counter across the street after school at Freeman and more recently at the curent store. She always had a smile for everyone and kind words to go with it. She lit up the store whenever she came in to shop or just to visit. I know how difficult this is for your whole family, but with God;s love and grace you will be able to carry on.

God's Peace be with your whole family,
