Ruby McDowell Obituary

Mrs. Ruby P. McDowell, 78, of Richmond, was welcomed home by the gentle hands of God on Friday, February 25, 2005, where she was reunited with her husband, Kenneth M. She will be remembered always with great affection by her children, Dolly M. Murdock, Wayne M. McDowell, Virginia M. Hughes, Brenda M. Cridlin, A. Scott Bailey, Annette M. Berry, Kenneth M. McDowell Jr. and Bennie T. McDowell. She was also an adored grandmother to 21, a great-grandmother to 14, and an aunt to Jean M. Wildman. Her remains rest at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, and where services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2005. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Donations may be sent to Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad, or the East Hanover Volunteer Rescue Squad in her memory.
