Ruth COLLINS

COLLINS, Ruth Audrey, 70, of Midlothian, departed this life Wednesday, November 18, 2009. She leaves behind her loving husband, Dr. Brian J. Collins and was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Audrey Beyer. Born in Newark, N.J., she graduated from West Side High School and took courses in medical technology, office management and laboratory preparation. She worked in medical technology, and for 32 years managed a busy medical office for her husband, modeling a caring and optimistic office attitude. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Audrey R. Domogauer of Pocono, Pa., Kathleen M. "Kathy" Collins; a sister, Stacian Beyer, both of Midlothian; a brother, Harold Beyer of Florida; and grandchildren, Madison Decker and Joseph Pertowski. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chesterfield Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 14301 Ashbrook Pkwy, where her funeral will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 23. Interment will be in Virginia Veterans Cemetery.
