Ruth loved to travel with the Kenwood Kruisers of Kenwood UMC. She and Mary Lee always had such a great time on the trips. We will miss Ruth's graciousness and interesting stories. My heartfelt sympathy is extended to her family.

I have read where the name Ruth is Hebrew for COMPASSION, and that is exactly how I would describe my Aunt Ruth. My life has been enriched knowing her and having her part of my life. She will be missed.

I do not have the words to express our sadness at the loss of your Mom.
She and Mattie have taken such measures to keep Mom social as possible considering her condition.
Saturday lunches will never be the same.
Ruth was such a giving and loving person, with her family, friends and activities.
Both your Mom and Dad were a third set of grandparents to Jessica before the twins came alone. They we my first guests the night I had Emily. We will always be wrapped in her love.
Take the time to grieve, take it in because it really is part of the process. Give yourself time to rest.
We are sad because she is gone, she has found her way to that beautiful place of Peace.
With love,
Jill & Malcolm

Dear Mattie and Janet -- it was with extremely mixed emotions that I read in the RICHMOND TIMES-DISPATCH tody that Ruth had died.....mixed because I am always sorry to learn of an old friend's passing.....but delighted to learn that you were still alive!
When I didn't get a Xmas card from you for either 2008 OR 2009, and mine weren't returned, I had no idea what to do...or even think. After all, we have exchanged cards every Xmas since 1944-------and that is a L O N G, L O N G TIME I moved back home to Va in Mid-Sept 2008 and bought a house in Williamsburg......please call me - 1-757-345-2233....would love to talk to you---or even better VISIT....I have a guest bedroom and bath, so there is plenty of room for you to visit a while.
I talked to Verna Hankley Hanmen today--she moved back to So Hill the lst of last Dec......we were both so sorry to learn of Ruth's death.....our condolences go to your family.
please call me---
