BENESOLE, Susan S., 57, of Manakin-Sabot, Va., formerly of Tucson, Ariz., and Harrisburg, Pa., passed away Monday, October 11, 2010. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles E. Stump. She is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 27 years, John H. Benesole; mother, Rose P. Stump; two sisters, Nancy S. Synder and Mary S. Homsey; three nieces, Angela, Samantha and Mallory; nephew, Joshua; and great-nephew, Tristan. Susan was a 1971 graduate of Central Dauphin High School and graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College. She was a licensed hairdresser in both Pennsylvania and Arizona. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and an avid reader who loved to travel. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 16, at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad Street. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 1600 Willow Lawn Dr., Richmond, Va. 23230.

We celebrate Susan with great love and appreciation, and everyday in her beauty as one with Spirit. We give thanks for knowing Susan and her essence while in the physical.
