Thomas Couch Obituary

COUCH, Thomas Autrey, 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at Atlantic Shores. Born in Roaring Gap, N.C., to the late Cora and Robert Couch, Thomas was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and retired from Aetna Life Insurance Company in Norfolk. Thomas was a graduate of the University of Richmond and earned two Master's Degrees from American College in Pennsylvania. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach and a longtime member of Kiwanis. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie S. Couch; a daughter, Linda Inman of Naples, Fla.; two sons, Thomas A Couch Jr. and his wife, Donna, and Frank W. Couch and his fiancee, Deborah, all of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Irene Couch and Lorene Couch Bond and her husband, James, all of Richmond; and four grandchildren, Ashley, Courtney and Kendall Couch of Virginia Beach and Robert Williams and wife, Marci, of Charleston, S.C. A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Albert Butzer officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Operation Smile.

Mrs. Couch, to you and you family, I am so sorry to heard about Mr. Couch. You two were like parents and wonderful friends to me and my family and I love you both so very much. Let me know if you need anything.
