Thyrza Lowry

LOWRY, Thyrza Redd, 96, of Richmond, passed away June 18, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Lowry; three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy R. Robertson of Richmond; nieces and nephews, Werner Redd and his wife, Kathy, of Meherrin, Va., Timmy Redd and his wife, Connie, of Meherrin, Va., Bev Spicer and her husband, Ralph, of Long Beach, Calif., Laura Kilinc and her husband, Ali, of Clifton, Va., and David Robertson of Richmond, Va.; and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lowry was a graduate of St. Elizabeth's Hospital School of Nursing and served as a nurse in the Richmond City Health Department. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday (today), in Maury Cemetery. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 25, in the Simms Center at Lakewood Manor, 1900 Lauderdale Dr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army of Richmond or the Central Virginia Food Bank.
