Virginia Moon Crocker

CROCKER, Virginia Moon, 75, of Lovingston, Virginia, and a resident of Mechanicsville, Virginia, passed away September 30, 2010, surrounded and loved by her family. She was a daughter of the late William Richard Moon and Gladys Drinkard Moon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warner "Keg" Crocker. She is survived by her three children, Warner T. Crocker Jr. (Thomasin Saviano), Susan C. Brown (Michael) and Jane C. Brown (David). She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Lauren E. Crocker, Catherine J. Brown and Steven M. Brown; her dog, Sadie; and her granddog, Stella. Mrs. Crocker loved spending time with her family and friends and will be missed dearly by all of them. She was an elementary teacher for Nelson County Schools for 30 years and touched so many lives along the way. She also loved gardening and was an avid reader. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2010, at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston with Rev. John P. Campbell officiating.
