Wor Bill Bowers was the most senior Past Master of Joppa Lodge # 40, here in Richmond. He always had great stories on his 60 + year history of the Lodge and of his father in law, Grand Master of the State of Va Grand Lodge, the Most Worshiful Flowers. I will miss Bill at church as well, as we often chatted between sunday School and services. Bill was also very active for many years in Boulevard's mission to the Virginia Home. We will miss his hunor, his smile and his sense of duty. Michael Joyner (Hanover cty, VA)

I just received the news today of your passing. The world just doesn't feel the same anymore without you in it. You were a special man to so many. How I cherished all the emails and love you sent all these years to my family and me. The quarters you slipped the kids when they saw you at BUMC, the birthday cards EVERY year for 20+ years and all the jokes and laughter you so generously shared. ... You will always be remembered in my heart! I love you, Bill!
Love Always,
Jennifer

Bill was one of Joppa's most respected members. I have very fond memories of Past Masters Night every year when we would line up together and greet each other. We will surely miss him. May God bless all of Bill's loved ones and keep his memory in our hearts.
