William Edward Clements

CLEMENTS, William Edward, 73, of Smithfield, Virginia, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bernice Clements. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Winn Clements; daughter, Renee Cox and son-in-law, Tom Cox, of Cary, North Carolina; son, Christopher Clements and son-in-law, Dr. Richard Jermyn, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; sister, Anne Toole of Franklin, Indiana; grandchildren, Charles Cox and Jaime Cox of Cary, North Carolina; and numerous other family members. He was retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation after 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Western Heights Baptist Church, Petersburg, Virginia, where a memorial service will be held Monday, June 21, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Riverside Hospice, 12420 Warwick Blvd., Suite 6E, Newport News, Va. 23606, or to the American Cancer Society.
