Wilson Healy Davis

DAVIS, Wilson Healy, celebrated his 85th birthday on July 26 and went home to celebrate with our Lord on September 8, 2010. He passed away comfortably at home. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara; his son, Maurice and his wife, Kathy; daughter, Lori; son, Sam and his wife, Karen, and their daughters, Aubrey, Emma and Margaret; son, Allen and his wife, Marty, and their sons, Luke, Adam and Joel; daughter, Jenny and her husband, John, and their children, Hannah and Davis; and daughter, Mary, and her husband, Barry, and children, Caitlin, Grayson and John Wilson. He is also survived by his sister, Roberta and her husband, Harvey; his sister, Mary and her husband, Bob; and his brother, Turner; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Alice Davis; and his brothers, Allen and Frank. He was a lifelong resident of Mobjack, where he farmed on Myrtle Grove Farm until the age of 70. Wilson always took great pride in all of his children, grandchildren and their families. He had a lifelong love for the Chesapeake Bay, gardening, skipjacks, antique cars and the State of Texas. He had many wonderful friends who brought him immense joy. A visitation will be held at the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home in Mathews on Saturday, September 11, from 7 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Sunday September 12, at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Bohannon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Providence United Methodist Church, 8 Grace St., Mobjack, Va. 23056.
