Winston Worsham "Winnie" GREEN

GREEN, Winston "Winnie" Worsham, 83, of Victoria, Va., widow of Jimmie Green, went to be even closer to her Lord on October 27, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Howard Winston Worsham and Ethel Morgan Worsham. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James Howard and, Susan Green, of Midlothian, Va.; her sister, Golda Whittley of Victoria; her grandchildren, Adria Andress (Chris), Jimmy Green, Alexa Taylor (Craig), Mary Lynn Lloyd (James), Sherry Green and Steve Green; fourteen great-grandchildren; her nephews, Earl Jr. and Stuart; nieces, Joyce, Mavis and Janice. She was also mother of the late Albert Lee Green and Gerald Morgan Green. Winnie devoted her entire adult life to loving and caring for her mother, her husband and her children, and reached out to others as a Sunday School Teacher, visitor to the homebound, and member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. We will never forget the sound of her laughter, nor her chocolate chess pie. For over fifty years, Winnie was an active member of the Victoria Baptist Church where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday October 31, 2009 with burial in the Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:30 to 8 p.m at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria.
