THURSTON, Katherine "Cricket" Dickens, 54, of Chester, Va., passed away November 29, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her mother, Jean H. Dickens, Richmond; uncle, Fred Harrison and wife, Donna, of Clearwater, Fla.; cousins, Mike, Lynn, Susie, Debbie, Scottie; and many friends. Kathy was predeceased by her father, Jimmy L. Dickens. She is remembered for her charisma, enthusiasm and "can do" attitude. A Celebration of Kathy's Life will be December 14, at 2 p.m. at the West End Assembly of God church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SPCA or the church Missions program. Reception follows in the Fellowship Hall.
