Lola Mae Coburn, 88, of Hillsboro, passed away, Monday, July 21, 2014 at Crestwood Nursing Home in Hillsboro.
She was born Nov. 20, 1925 in Olive Hill, Ky., the daughter of the late Pleasant L. and Anna Belle (Roe) Holbrook.
In 1945, she married Edgar Wesley Coburn, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Coburn raised her family in Redondo Beach, Calif., where she developed her love for antiques into a business that at took her and Ed all over America. They retired in Jackson to be close to family.
Surviving are her three sons, Michael (Alora) Coburn of Hillsboro, Robert (Aly) Coburn of San Luis Obispo, Calif. and Geoffrey (Marsha) Coburn of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; brother, Don (Betty) Holbrook of Martinsville, Ind.; sister, Parma Morefield of Grove City; 14 grandchildren, Bret, Michael, Robert, Sara, Jeremiah, Sheila, Elizabeth, Joshua, Chrissy, Jenna, Lacey, Ryan, Bryan and Justin; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lola was preceded in death by her brothers, Ancil, Haskell and Vencil Holbrook; and grandson, Kaleb Andrew.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 24 at the Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with pastor Kimball Zornes officiating. Interment will be at the family's convenience in the Wheelersburg Memorial Gardens.
Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
