E. Lenora Pausch, 72, of Leesburg, formerly a 40-year resident of Sagamore Hills, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, May 2, 2014 at her home.
She was born Sept. 17, 1941 in Rockbridge, the daughter of the late Everett and Goldie Canan Sater.
Mrs. Pausch was a registered dietician having worked as the food service director for Booth Tarkington Men's Residence Hall at Purdue University, as a dietician for the Veterans Administration in Brecksville, as the dietician for the Brecksville City Schools, and served for 18 years as the dietician for Nordonia Hills Schools in the Northfield/Macedonia Schools. She was a 1959 graduate of Logan High School and received her bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University in 1963. Mrs. Pausch was a devoted fan of The Ohio State University athletics and the Cleveland Indians. She was a member of the Presidents Club at The Ohio State University, of the Kappa Delta Sorority, and represented the sorority in several campus queen contests, the CoEd Cadet Corps and sponsored the "Moonlight on the Marsh" lectures at Schiermeier Olentangy River Wetland Research Park. She was a sponsor of the Pausch Family Scholarship Fund for The Ohio State University, Highland County students, and well-known for her self-designed computer cards that she loved to send to family and friends on special occasions. Mrs. Pausch was also known for her strong faith in God and was a member of the Northfield Presbyterian Church and attended the Leesburg United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Pausch, who she married June 8, 1963; one son, Fredrick (Fran) Pausch of Dublin; two stepgrandchildren, Christopher Wellington of Pittsburgh and Kevin Wellington of Dublin; one brother, Paul (Joanne) Sater; one sister, Ann (Bob) Sauers of Rockbridge; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Natalie Lenora Pausch, on Jan. 2, 2007; and two brothers, Nolan and John Sater.
Memorial services will be held Aug. 9 at the Sater Family Park in Wild Cat Hollow.
