Charlene M. Lewis, 71, of New Vienna, passed away early Sunday morning, Jan. 8, 2017 at Christ Hospital.
She was born Dec. 13, 1945 in National City, Calif., the daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Helen Mary (McCart) Greiner.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Wallace Lewis, whom she married Dec. 13, 1963 in Winterhaven, Calif.
She is also survived by four children, Wallace Jr. (Robin) Lewis of Lawrenceburg, Ind., Tammy (David) Dysinger of New Carlisle, Chuck (Lori) Lewis of Lynchburg and Ursula (Ronald) Sellers of Anacoco, La.; 10 grandchildren, Nicole (Todd) Brinkmeyer, Georgia (Adam) Rauch, David Dysinger, Nick Dysinger, Kim (Bill) Roode, Tiffany (Cody) Shaw, Quinton Lewis, Tamara (Jon) Bachtold, Zac Sellers and Carrie Sellers; two great-grandchildren, Clarissa Burns and Lanie Shaw, as well as three great-grandchildren on-the-way; and a brother, Charles (Michelle) Greiner of Ft. Worth, Texas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ursula Thunnell.
The funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Burial will follow in the High Top Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
