Bobbi Cooper Dickinson

Bobbi Cooper Dickinson, 49, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully in her sleep on June 8, 2017 in Jupiter, Fla.

Bobbi was born in Wilmington to Robert and Mary (Baker) Cooper on July 27, 1967.

She attended Hillsboro High School and graduated in 1985. She went on to earn her degree as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists from Mt. Saint Joseph in Cincinnati while also completing the Army ROTC program. She served honorably in the U.S. Army earning the rank of captain. She continued her education at the University of North Carolina, securing her master's degree. She then extended her life of kindness as a CRNA for the VA Medical Center for 12 years and was given many awards for outstanding service during her time there.

She enjoyed traveling, scuba diving, free diving, volunteering at church and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Bobbi was a giving, caring and humble servant and will be dearly missed by friends and family. She was always encouraging and willing to help anyone in need.

Bobbi is survived by her parents, Robert and Mary (Baker) Cooper; brother, Doug Cooper; husband, John Dickinson; stepchildren Ashley and Charles Eaton and Jonathan and Kelsey Dickinson; grandchildren, Summer, Hunter and Conner Eaton and Cruz Dickinson; and nephews, Brandon and Joel Cooper (Cynthia), and their children Sydney and Cratos.

Bobbi was preceded by her grandparents, Bill and Marie (Davis) Baker and Dorothy (Crum) and Clarence Cooper; and her aunts; Jewel Jean (Baker) Troup and Ann (Baker) Newby.

Her celebration of life service will be held at the Christ Fellowship Chapel in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. on June 20 at 10 a.m. with color guard honors. Spreading of her ashes will occur afterward at her favorite dive spot in Jupiter, Fla.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ Fellowship in her honor for the work of missions and sent to 5343 Northlake Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. 33418.
